This is a 40 acre gold placer claim situated next to the Salmon Creek and the Lower Salmon Lake in Sierra County, California. The claim features thousands of feet of lake-side and river access, where new gold-bearing gravels and sands come barreling down the mountain every year.

The area is well covered with natural foliage, so plenty of shady spots, and is near two popular camping and fishing spots - the Upper Salmon Lake and Gold Lake - all within 2 miles of this claim. So, if you ever get tired of panning for gold for a day, you can always fish 'til sundown and camp on your own private lake, or go up and meet some new friends at the campsites.

Easy access to the claims from the Gold Lake Highway, a paved mountain highway. A short 2 minute walk from car to the river or 5 minutes to the lake and you're set to go. Food and provisions can be found in Sierra City down South about 7 miles, or back up North 12 miles toward Graeagle, a popular little tourist town.

Bugs can be a mess up there. I heavily recommend bringing some repellent or keeping fairly well covered from head to toe. There are horse and deer flies, mosquitos, oh my! And they bite. A lot.

Feel free to go up and sample. The claims can easily be plugged into GPS and driven directly to via the Highway. Plenty of space for an RV, trailer, or fifth wheel.
